Background:
The immunocytochemicaldetection of bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) incorporated into DNA is a powerful toolto study the cytokinetics of normal and neoplastic cells. In vitro or in vivolabeling of tumor cells with the thymidine analogue BrdU and the subsequentdetection of incorporated BrdU with specific anti-BrdU monoclonal antibodies isan accurate and comprehensive method to quantitate the degree of DNA-synthesis.
BrdU is incorporated into the newly synthezised DNA of S-phase cells mayprovide an estimate for the fraction of cells in S-phase. Also dynamicproliferative information such as the S-phase transit rate and the potentialdoubling time can be obtained, by means of bivariate BrdU/DNA flow cytometricanalysis

Storage: Store at -20℃for one year. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. The lyophilized antibody is stable at roomtemperature for at least one month and for greater than a year when kept at -20℃.When reconstituted in sterile pH 7.4 0.01M PBS or diluent of antibody, the antibody is stable for at least six weeks at 2-4 ℃
